Hybrid shorts combine board-short length with added stretch panels for brands wanting one style that works across striking and grappling. Board-style shorts favor a longer, looser cut common in competition promotions, while vale tudo shorts run shorter and closer-fitting for grapplers who want less material to grip. We produce all three constructions, so a brand can offer a range rather than a single cut across its whole line.
Side and gusset panels are built from 4-way stretch fabric to allow full hip rotation and high kicks without restricting movement or splitting at the seam. Closures use reinforced hook-and-loop with a drawstring backup, stitched to hold through repeated grappling exchanges rather than working loose mid-round.
Full sublimated printing lets a design run edge to edge across the waistband, side panels and leg — logos, sponsor placements and brand graphics are dye-printed into the fabric rather than sitting on top, so they hold up to the stretching and washing MMA shorts see in regular training use. Embroidered branding is available for cleaner, more minimal designs.
Length, rise and leg opening can be adjusted from our base pattern to match a brand’s fit preference, with sizing graded consistently across a full run — useful for brands maintaining a specific fit signature across their MMA shorts line as they scale order volume.
