A Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gi has to survive things most garments never face — constant grip fighting, repeated washing, and a ruleset that dictates exact weave weight, collar thickness and sizing tolerances. Fabric and Weave Options

Weave choice shapes how a gi performs on the mat. Pearl weave, offered from 350 to 550 GSM, is the standard for most competition and training gis — lighter weights suit hot-climate training and travel, heavier weights hold up to aggressive grip fighting. Gold weave gives a tighter, more rigid construction favored by some competitors, while ripstop panelling on pants adds tear resistance without the added bulk of a full heavyweight weave. All fabric is preshrunk before cutting, so sizing stays consistent after the gi’s first wash rather than shifting once it reaches the customer.

Sizing and Competition Compliance

Gis are cut to IBJJF-legal dimensions — collar thickness, sleeve and pant length, and overall fit fall within federation tolerances, which matters for brands whose customers compete. We produce across adult, lightweight and kids’ sizing, with grading handled in-house so a full size run stays proportionate rather than just scaled up or down from a single base pattern.

Customization and Private Label

For brands building their own gi line, customization runs from woven or embroidered patches and chest logos to full sublimated panels, custom neck labels and branded hang tags and packaging. Whether the order is a single design in a few sizes or a multi-style seasonal range, the same pattern, fabric and QC process applies across the run, so consistency doesn’t depend on order size.

Quality Control

Every gi passes through multi-point inspection before packing — stitch density, panel alignment, weave weight and finishing are checked against the approved sample, not just against a general quality standard. Production is carried out under ISO 9001, WRAP and OEKO-TEX aligned practices, with GRS-certified recycled polyester and organic cotton available for brands building a sustainability angle into their line.
